Academia was proud once again to support Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as our owner, Andrew Harman – former Wycombe Wanderers player – continued his annual tradition of donating gifts to children and families cared for by the Trust.
This year, Andrew, team Academia and Trinifold Sports Management donated more than 500 presents, visiting day nurseries at Wycombe and Amersham hospitals and meeting members of the Trust’s community teams. These gifts will help health visitors, the family nurse partnership team, children’s speech and language therapists, occupational and physiotherapists, community nurses for children with a learning disability and the school nursing team bring festive joy to families facing challenges, as well as to looked-after children.
Reflecting on the visit, Andrew said:
“Delivering these presents each year is something I always look forward to. We want to bring a little festive happiness to children and families who may be missing out, as well as to the children of hardworking NHS staff in the Trust’s nurseries. It’s a small gesture to show we’re thinking of them during tough times.”
The initiative forms part of Academia’s wider dedication to community outreach and social responsibility. Each year, our teams volunteer their time across local communities, offering support, practical help and meaningful contributions to organisations and families who need it most. This annual gift donation is one of the many ways we aim to give back and make a positive difference beyond our day-to-day work.
Raghuv Bhasin, Chief Executive of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, added:
“It’s a real pleasure to welcome Andrew and his teams back to the Trust. This partnership has grown into a wonderful tradition that means so much to our service users and staff. We are deeply grateful to Andrew, Academia and Trinifold for their generosity and time.”
Academia plans to continue the tradition in 2026, further strengthening its partnership with local hospitals and community organisations.
