Acquisition brings Jigsaw24 and Academia Group together under Strive Capital ownership, creating one of the UK’s leading independent technology solutions groups with combined annual revenues of £400 million.
Strive Capital, owner of Academia Group, has acquired Jigsaw24, bringing together two established UK technology businesses with complementary expertise across Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, managed services, cyber security, cloud and professional services.
The acquisition significantly strengthens the Group’s scale, capabilities and market presence across education, public sector and commercial markets, creating a platform for further growth.
Andrew Harman, Owner of Strive Capital, commented:
“Bringing Jigsaw24 alongside Academia represents a major milestone in our growth strategy, creating a business with genuine scale, breadth and technical expertise.
Our ambition goes beyond revenue growth. With a recurring revenue blend north of 50% across our services portfolio, driven by Managed Services, Cyber Security and Cloud, we’re building an increasingly diversified and resilient business.
We have a proven track record of successfully integrating businesses, supported by an experienced Board and leadership team, and believe this combination puts us in a strong position to challenge the established leaders in the UK technology market.”
Mark McCormack, Group Managing Director of Academia Group, said:
“Jigsaw24 is a business we’ve known and respected for many years, with talented people, strong customer relationships and capabilities that complement our own extremely well.
Academia has delivered consistent growth, record results and significant progress in expanding our services business. Bringing these organisations together gives us the scale and expertise to accelerate that momentum.
Our focus is on building on the strengths of both businesses, investing in our people and capabilities, and delivering even greater value to our customers and partners.”
David Dudman, CEO of Jigsaw24, commented:
“This is an exciting new chapter for Jigsaw24 and a significant opportunity for our people, customers and partners.
Joining a Group of this scale allows us to build on our specialist expertise and strong customer relationships while expanding the services and solutions we can offer. We look forward to playing an important role in the Group’s next phase of growth.”
Building for the future
The acquisition builds on Academia Group’s previous investment in Smartdesc and its experience of integrating complementary technology businesses.
Academia and Jigsaw24 will initially continue operating as separate legal entities, maintaining their existing teams, customer relationships and strategic technology partnerships while opportunities for closer collaboration are developed.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Strive Capital’s ambition to build one of the UK’s leading independent technology solutions and services groups.
