Group builds on £152m FY26 revenue with record start to FY27, as Managed Services growth and continued investment underpin its next phase.
Academia Group has delivered a record first quarter of FY27, building on another year of strong growth which saw Group revenue increase 10% year-on-year to £152m in FY26.
The performance reflects continued progress against Academia’s strategy of building a larger, more diverse and increasingly services-led technology business, with growth achieved despite ongoing challenges across the wider market.
A key driver of FY26 performance was Managed Services, which recorded 23% revenue growth, as increasing numbers of organisations sought strategic technology partners capable of providing long-term support, expertise and services. The result reflects Academia’s ongoing investment in its services capabilities and its focus on developing deeper customer relationships.

Mark McCormack, Group Managing Director of Academia, said:
“FY26 was another strong year for Academia. Revenue grew by 10% to £152m, but more importantly, we continued to invest in the business we want Academia to become. The 23% growth in Managed Services is in line with our plans and demonstrates the progress we are making in broadening our proposition. Our ambition is to develop deeper and broader relationships with our customers, moving beyond individual technology transactions and supporting them across more of their technology requirements.
We’ve also deliberately increased our investment in people. Strengthening our People team gives us greater focus on culture, learning and development and leadership as we scale. Combined with our apprenticeship programme, we want to develop our existing people while creating opportunities for the next generation of talent coming into our industry.”
Academia ended FY26 with 273 employees, up from 266 the previous year, alongside continued success in securing and retaining positions on key public sector frameworks, providing a strong platform for future growth across education and the wider public sector.
Momentum has continued into the new financial year, with Academia delivering a record first quarter of FY27 for the three months ending September 2026.
