Academia are delighted to announce the acquisition of Toucan Computing Ltd

London, UK, June 1, 2020 – The Academia Group are delighted to announce the acquisition of Toucan Computing, who provide support, training and repair services to the education sector in the UK. Based on the similarities with Academia and Toucan, we feel this is a great fit within our group of companies, and adds excellent resources to our team in terms of people and skills.

As we begin this new chapter with Toucan, it’s clear to see the synergy between the two companies – not only the services and support on offer, but the way in which we do business and take a ‘customer first’ approach.

Toucan have spent 24 years developing a loyal customer base, and we aim to ensure that it will be business as usual for staff and clients alike. This is an exciting time and a great opportunity for us to share the secrets of our success as we move onward and upwards with the incredible team from Toucan.

Mike Bacon, Managing Director of The Academia Group commented, “We are so excited to be incorporating Toucan into the Academia group of companies, which the board and I feel will allow us to cement our position as the first port of call for any educational institution looking for a best-in-class service from their IT supplier”.

In addition, Kristian Taylor, Sales Director of Toucan Computing, added: “We’re very excited to combine the customer service approach of Toucan with the backing and support of Academia, to create a compelling proposition for our loyal customers.” He added “It’s business as usual for our key schools but now we can offer a much greater range of solutions, with access to more products and expert knowledge from the whole group. We’ll have many more strings to our bow, providing an irresistible choice for schools looking for a trusted long term partner.”

Academia is part of a Technology Group of Companies, covering Education, Charity, Business.
