Music Education Expo 2015

Music Education Expo 2015

Music Education Expo is the UK’s largest exhibition and conference for music teachers. Over two days, teachers will benefit from a choice of over 50 conference sessions, networking opportunities with 2,500 other teachers, and a trade exhibition with over 130 stands. This year’s event will take place on 12 & 13 March.

The exhibition and conference are both completely free to attend, meaning even teachers on tight budgets can make the most of high-quality professional development.

More than 50 high-quality conference sessions

This year there will be a strong technology focus, with sessions on a range of topics including: Sonic Pi, practical classroom tech, solving your noise problems with a 10-minute acoustic room, must-have technology for 2015, and a special app showcase.

Other sessions will cover a wide range of topics aimed at classroom (both primary and secondary), instrumental and early year’s teachers. Highlights include:

  • The intercultural classroom: advice on teaching world music
  • Hip hop can as a powerful learning tool
  • Kodály and autism
  • Q&A with schools minister Nick Gibb and shadow schools minister Kevin Brennan
  • Music education as a crime deterrent: learning from Mexico
