Academia awarded place on the Crown Commercial Service – RM6103 Education Technology

Academia Ltd. have successfully been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service RM6103 Education Technology Framework for Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5. 

The Framework process consisted of a formal tender process resulting in the subsequent award. Academia were successful on all applied lots. 

RM6103 Education Technology is targeted towards Education institutions including schools, academies, multi-academy trusts and colleges but also provides a procurement mechanism to the wider public sector. 

The Framework Agreement will run for three years, commencing this August.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? 

The four lots that Academia have been successful on are as follows: 

  • Lot 2 Broadband Fibre Infrastructure 
  • Lot 3 – Broadband Services 
  • Lot 4 – Hardware 
  • Lot 5 – Audio Visual  

LOT 2 – BROADBAND FIBRE INFRASTRUCTURE 

This lot includes the design and installation and ongoing use of Fibre Infrastructure, ‘Last Mile’ installations, associated civil works and service costs. 

LOT 3 – BROADBAND SERVICES 

Lot 3 covers site-to-site cloud connectivity, LAN connectivity, network security and support, IP connectivity, routing, internet filtering, firewall and anti-virus provision, e-safety solutions and storage. 

LOT 4 – HARDWARE 

Customers can procure end user devices (desktops/laptops/tablets), printers, infrastructure hardware (including but not limited to servers, routers, switches) and close-to-the-box services through Lot 4. 

LOT 5 – AUDIO VISUAL 

Lot 5 offers a range of Audio Visual products and services including but not limited to interactive whiteboards, digital signage, media streaming services, audio equipment, associated peripherals and close-to the box services.

 WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU? 

The Framework is split up into direct-award and mini competition call-off procedures, which means that customers can tender for, or directly award contracts based upon the Framework specific terms to all awarded suppliers.
